SOL® is a dessert wine made from the over-maturation of the Molinelli grapes, which gives it its distinctive flavour.
The vine was classified after the owners, the Molinelli family, by Professor Fregoni, who teaches viticulture at the University of Piacenza and published the characteristics of the species.
The grape must ferments for more than two years in oak wine barrels after which it is blended.
In addition to accompanying our Cremona nougat, the SOL® dessert wine goes perfectly well with our pastry baked cakes and blue cheese.
It should ideally be served between 12-14°C (53-57°F).
